Through our partner brand Life and Careers we also offer recruitment services. We love working with modern, innovative, growing businesses, whether they are in the startup stage, scaling up or already established. We prefer working with kind business leaders who understand that a happy, positive workplace is also good for their business.

Our history

From 2017 – 2021 we ran a career advice website and job board called Mothers & Careers. Our audience received regular newsletters with news about flexible working, career advice and latest job opportunities. Our contributors and writers wrote inspiring articles about juggling motherhood and work and how to re-launch yourself after maternity leave.

Companies advertised flexible job roles on our job board and in our newsletters. We worked with established companies like Deloitte, Boodle Hatfield, UCL, FDM, Holland Hahn & Wills and Baker McKenzie to growing startups such as Monzo, Koru Kids, Kin Learning, Beam, Yulife, AccurX, Under the Doormat and Skimlinks.

Following on from the success of the blog and job board, we launched a full recruitment and talent search service in 2021 and re-branded our Mothers & Careers jobsite into the more gender balanced and inclusive Parents & Careers. Our community of primarily women changed and now also includes a large pool of male candidates looking for a family friendly job. The evolution of work also changed in the last 5 years; work patterns and terminology changed. Terms like part time and job shares are less used now, with companies and candidates talking about flexible and hybrid working instead. Companies have experienced the benefits of hybrid working and offering flexibility has now become common in most workplaces.
